Blades - Full Frontal Piracy
14 Years on a
Pirate Ship
I have fourteen years on a pirate ship, a veteran if you
please, boy
I drink with the devil and be damned with the rest, it’s my call to the sea.
Oh for fourteen years I’ve been all alone, but in good company
And it’s fourteen more that I will roam, fulfill my destiny
And it’s row (HEAVE HO), me hearties row (HEY)
(Way back, heave ho, we’ll cross the bloody shoals!)
I tell ya row, me hearties row, from Spain to the Virgin Islands
Well I do what I want and I take what I like, I guess
that’s who I am, boy
I live for the moment and be damned with the rest, it’s here I make my stand
My sovereignty I owe to the one that me come aboard
And sometimes I regret that I killed that man
- But not very often
- No, not very often
And it’s row (HEAVE HO), me hearties row (HEY)
(Way back, heave ho, we’ll cross the bloody shoals!)
I tell ya row, me hearties row, from Spain to the Virgin Islands
Well for fourteen years I’ve seen my share of bloodshed and
disease, boy
But a night on the shore with a strumpet I know revives my sanity
Oh for fourteen years I’ve had one goal, to see all I could see
And we’ll sink those ships that slow us down
- And relieve them of their booty
- Yea, that’s right, mate
And it’s row (HEAVE HO), me hearties row (HEY)
(Way back, heave ho, we’ll cross the bloody shoals!)
I tell ya row, me hearties row, from Spain to the Virgin Islands
I’ve sung every song that there is to sing, that’s sang
about the sea
And I’ve crossed paths with many worthless folk, including kings and queens
Oh in fourteen years I’ll end my wrath, my freedom may be won and I’ll sail home
(With a hold full of treasure and a brand new song!)
(ROW – ROW – ROW – ROW)
And it’s row (HEAVE HO), me hearties row (HEY)
(Way back, heave ho, we’ll cross the bloody shoals!)
I tell ya row, me hearties row, from Spain to the Virgin Islands
Whiskey in the Jar (Pirate
version)
As I was
coming home from a Port Maria party
I crossed paths with John Rackham and his lady friend Anne Bonny
Well perhaps it was the full moon, or the whiskey had worked its wonders
But I knocked them out cold in the street and relieved them of their plunder
Musha ring dumma do damma da
Whack for the daddy ’ol
Whack for the daddy ‘ol
There's whiskey in the jar
Me heart was beating fast now and the road seemed rather
scary
So I threw the sack over me back and I took it home to Mary
She said and she swore that she never would deceive me|
I didn’t know the devil and Mary Read had made a pact way down in Fiji
As I sat there excitedly telling her of an eventful evening
I counted out the jewels and grinned then soon turned in for sleeping
But Mary took me clothes and she wore them like a man
And set out to find ol Calico Jack with me blunderbuss in hand
It was early in the morning and I woke from an attack
Then reaching for me gun beheld the smile of Calico Jack
Shocked and confused as the Cat o’ nine tails hit me
And arm and arm there stood me Mary and Anne Bonny
There’s a man Captain Barnet, and he works for the navy
I hear he’s after Calico Jack perhaps he’ll come and save me
But I wait here patiently as we sail toward Tortuga
A pirate now I man the deck because I’ve been recruited
Now some men take delight in the drinking and the roving
But others take delight the gambling and the smoking
But I take delight in an aged warm glass of whiskey\
And courting
pretty faire maidens, as long as their name’s not Mary
Drink Drink Drink
And we’ll drink, drink, drink. Our rum and tequila
We’ll drink, drink, drink. Don’t want ta we need ta
We’ll drink, drink, drink. Beer and Margarita
And drink all our troubles away
When I was young I swore to be famous
But now that I’ve aged I prefer to be nameless
Alone on the sea we sip rum between us
And drink all our troubles away
I remember a time when I had pretty young lady
A house on a hill and a three month old baby
She left me one day for a man in the navy
So I drink all me troubles away
When Cap lost his leg he swore to get even
He picked up his limb and hurled it back at them
Cursing their ship and swearing to sink’em
While drinking his troubles away
If I had me wish I’d wish to be happy
Somewhere on a beach with me plunder a napping
With an islander girl as happy as I am
Drinking for pleasure today
Johnny Home
Gather ‘round for
a story to be had
Of a six foot six strapping lad
He’d enlist to the navel of his own port stead
To make a name and then return home
A towering man, quiet and shy
He hugged his kids and kissed his wife goodbye
And he said young Billy don’t you cry
For soon I’ll be coming home
And she wished Johnny would stay home
------
Johnny came aboard with a gleam in his eye
On the dock below, there stood his wife
Smiling and waving as she said goodbye
And to me she yelled bring Johnny home
Never had we seen such a vaulting man
With a thirst for knowledge and a course well planned
He spoke of his family again and again
And a life he soon would sow
Yea we’d all see Johnny home
-------
And we’d all see Johnny home someday
To his wife and kids, assuring it’ okay
And we’d eat and we’d drink and we’d end the day
With a sad ‘ol sailors song
And we’d all see Johnny home someday
We’d reminisce and we’d laugh and we’d
watch the kids play
And we’d talk about how we’re going to spend our days
Yea we’d all see Johnny home
-----
The captain was an undaunted man
He swore he knew his enemy all first hand
And we knew someday he make his stand
If again their paths did cross
It was dark as hell on a ghostly night
The canon fire was the only light
And what we saw next was a sickening sight
And the captain’s life was gone
And to the battle, we all saw Johnny
run
------
Johnny jumped in without a fear for his life
As the enemy boarded us starboard side
We were fifteen down and dropping like
flies
When I saw Johnny’s eyes turn red
And he let forth a scream and a ravenous might
With a pistol in his left and a cutlass
in his right
Like a wild hurricane he commenced to fight
This battle’s not finished yet!
And to Johnny we owe our debt
-------
And we’d all see Johnny home someday
To his wife and kids, assuring it’s
okay
And we’d eat and we’d drink and we’d end the day
With a sad ‘ol sailors song
And we’d all see Johnny home someday
We’d reminisce and we’d laugh and we’d
watch the kids play
And we’d talk about how we’re going to spend our days
Yea we’d all see Johnny home
-------
Then the crew joined in until their ship we breeched
We all had the vigor of ten men each
And some did die and some did flee
But in the end our crew stood tall
And we all looked to Johnny now covered in blood
He collapsed to his knees, cursing heaven above
For me punishment here what have I done
And he muttered I failed them all
And we all saw Johnny fall
------
And we all saw Johnny home that day
To his wife and kids, assuring it’s okay
And we told them of the battle on the fifth of May
And not a braver man had fought
And we all broke down when she started to cry
And she fell down beside him and she
said goodbye
And the children fell in with her by her side
And for their loss, time stood still
Then anger ensued for the months of prayers
That went unanswered and she drew back
her long dark hair
And we all watched as she died a little bit right there
And she stood and addressed me as sir
Thank God you brought Johnny home
Full Frontal
Piracy
ONE AND TWO, THREE, FULL FRONTAL PIRACY
Well me girlfriend's but a strumpet, me girl
she's quite the whore"
Drop dead looks and filthy rich, been married thirteen times before
She makes it to me chambers before I go back to sea
And it's one and two, three, full frontal piracy, YEA
First and foremost we're sailors, out on the
ocean blue
But it never stops us from wondering just what girls from Tortuga do
We'll sail the blimy ocean throughout the night and day
And lay waste to all of those that get into our way, YEA
(Tortuga girls don't wear no clothes!)
I'll take a bottle of rum and a room for the night
(Send three up with a bar of soap!)
Then one every hour till I see the light
(We're going away, we'll be gone for months!)
A crate of food and some tobacco
(Secure the rigging and man the guns!)
A case of rum and a whore to go, HEY
ONE AND TWO, THREE, FULL FRONTAL PIRACY
Well the king he hates me it's true I've
worn out me stay
But his wife is rather fond of me and it's in her bed with her I lay
And it's in this way, that I pay my homage to the queen
One and two, three, full frontal piracy, YEA
Well I've cut more meat than a butcher in my
season of risk
But when that season's over, it's me home-life that I miss
Where me lovely wife is waiting patiently...
* Well you're not big on moral's are you
* Piss off mate, I'm a bloody pirate, what'd you expect
One and two, three, full frontal piracy, YEA
(Tortuga girls don't wear no clothes!)
I'll take a bottle of rum and a room for the night
(Send three up with a bar of soap!)
Then one every hour till I see the light
(We're going away, we'll be gone for months!)
A crate of food and some tobacco
(Secure the rigging and man the guns!)
A case of rum and a whore to go, HEY
ONE AND TWO, THREE, FULL FRONTAL PIRACY
Tiggo Bitty
Gather round young sailor men
And listen to me tale
For I’ve gone from here to Tripilee
On a Schooner with one sail
I’ve fought in many battles
But one stands out in memory
When we lost against a fair maiden
And her crew of twenty three
And I never seen a woman that could look so fine
And I never met a man that could cross her line
Nobody did what Tiggo Bitty did
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Ew Wa Oh, Tiggo Bitty
Ew Wa Oh, HEY
Ew Wa Oh, Tiggo Bitty
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Gather round me ladies
And I’ll show ye all me scars
But the one that cut the deepest
Is the one that’s on me heart
I’ve fought through rank
Seen ships that sank
Watched many fine men go and walk the plank
And I never seen a woman that could shoot so well
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Ew Wa Oh, Tiggo Bitty
Ew Wa Oh, HEY
Ew Wa Oh, Tiggo Bitty
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Gather round me privateers
And join me in me song
At first you won’t believe it
But I’ll convince ye that ye’re wrong
For you never met so ruthless
With beauty just as well
The power to entrance you
And the strength to unleash hell !
HEY
And I never seen a woman that could look so fine
And I never seen a man that could cross her line
And nobody did what Tiggo Bitty did
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Ew Wa Oh, Tiggo Bitty
Ew Wa Oh, HEY
Ew Wa Oh, Tiggo Bitty
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Gather round most everyone and join me in a prayer
For I long for Tiggo Bitty
More than I dare share
The last day that I talked with her
- Wait, you talked with her
- Well it was more her doing the talking. You see, she had
a dagger at my cheek
- HA, ha, ha, What’d she say?
- Well she smiled and said…
Go and tell the world about me
And how I spared your life in Tripilee
HEY
And I never seen a woman that could look so fine
And I never met a man that could cross her line
And nobody did what Tiggo Bitty did
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Ew Wa Oh, Tiggo Bitty
Ew Wa Oh, HEY
Ew Wa Oh, Tiggo Bitty
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Tiggo Bitty Captain of the Crow
Hempin Jig
Take heed
by me ye smugglers,
I say take heed by me!
While you ply your angry trade
Ye villains of the sea,
You'll drink strong rum and porter,
You'll dine on roast wild pig.
But if the admiralty catches you-
You'll dance the Hempen Jig!
And you'll
dance the hempen jig me boy, you'll dance the hempen jig!
If the admiralty catches you you'll dance the hempen jig!
O, once
I was simple lad,
And lived at home at ease.
But now I am a pirate bold
And plough the angry seas!
I thought I'd like seafaring life,
My rum and ale I'd swig.
But now, its true, I live in fear
Of dancin' the hempen jig!
And you'll
dance the hempen jig me boy, you'll dance the hempen jig!
If they find out the
trouble we’ve caused they’ll throw us in the brig
And when the morning comes (hye!) our punishment will be big
If the admirality catches us we’ll dance the hempin jig
Old Johnny
was a Tinkers son
Who came from County Kerry.
A sailor's friend and fan of rum
He kept us all quite merry.
On leave one night he got too drunk,
They threw him in the brig.
And when they learned he sailed with us,
He danced the hempen jig!
And you'll
dance the hempen jig me boy, you'll dance the hempen jig!
And when they learned he sailed with us,he danced the hempen jig!
My love she was no foolish girl,
Her age was but a score.
My love was not a spinster,
She'd been married twice before.
A thief herself she dressed the part
A mans hat and coat
and wig,
But she got caught a-plundering
And danced the hempen jig!
And you'll
dance the hempen jig me boy, you'll dance the hempen jig!
If they find out the
trouble we’ve caused they’ll throw us in the brig
And when the morning comes (hye!) our punishment will be big
If the admirality catches us we’ll dance the hempin jig
Our
vessel it was homeward bound
In our hold our loot and store.
And many a golden bauble,
Upon myself I wore.
There were rings of gold with big fat gems
And spices like thyme and fig,
We got them all illegally
And risk the hempen jig!
And you'll dance the
hempen jig me boy, you'll dance the hempen jig!
If they find out the
trouble we’ve caused they’ll throw us in the brig
And when the morning comes (hye!) our punishment will be big
If the admirality catches us we’ll dance the hempin jig
And you'll
dance the hempen jig me boy, you'll dance the hempen jig!
If they find out the
trouble we’ve caused they’ll throw us in the brig
And when the morning comes (hye!) our punishment will be big
If the admirality catches us we’ll dance the hempin jig
Old Maui (Pirate
Version)
It's a
damned tough life, full of toil and strife
We PIRATES undergo.
And we don't give a damn when the gale has stopped
How hard the wind did blow.
We're homeward bound! 'Tis a grand old sound
On a good ship taut and free,
And we don't give a damn when we drink our rum
With the girls on old
Maui.
Rolling down to old
Maui,
my boys,
Rolling down to old
Maui.
We're bound for port with loot in store
Rolling home to old
Maui.
Once more we sail with a northerly gale
Our Roger flying free.
And them coconut fronds in them tropic lands
We soon again shall see.
Six hellish months we've passed away
In our prowling of the sea,
And now we're bound for port once more,
Rolling down to old
Maui.
We'll fill our holds
with the Frenchmen’s gold
Their wines and liquor too.
Our mast and yards can take the hits
their guns and cannon threw.
When our names they
hear their filled with fear
All across the seven seas
But we’ll think on that as we laugh and chat
With the girls of old Maui.
How soft the breeze of
the tropic seas
Now the fight is far astern,
And them native maids
in them island glades
Are awaiting our return.
Even now their big
black eyes look out
Hoping some fine day to see
Our baggy sails running 'fore the gales
Rolling down to old
Maui.
And now we sail with a
favoring gale
Towards our island home.
Our mainmast sprung, our looting done,
And we ain't got far to roam.
Our stuns'l booms are carried away
What care we for that sound?
A living gale is after us,
Thank God we're homeward bound!
And now
we're anchored in the bay
With our booty in our hands
The smell of swine and sweet French wine
They greet us back to land.
And now ashore we'll have good fun
We'll paint them beaches red
Awaking in the arms of
a woman
With a big fat aching head.
Castrating Katy
* Oh let me tell you tales of Castrating Katy
The prettiest girl I think there’s ever been
She went on a ship with her poppy on business
Didn’t know her life would change from there on in
It was late one night on a cargo ship, and we were lost a
sea’o
Katy was the daughter of a merchant man, a crisp and clean sixteen’o
With the body of a much more mature girl, and a gullible demeanor
Katy didn’t know what would soon go down and the men would soon betray her
* Oh let me tell you tales of Castrating Katy
And how her smile would soon change to a vengeful thirst
And from the cargo bin she heard the sound of her poppy
Be damned with you all, you’ll go through me first
I woke up to the sound of some ladies screams
And there sat Katy in her father’s blood and a man told me to leave.
Seven men with clubs gathered round her now, as they laughed and joked in
tandem.
And one stood before her with his trousers down, commanding her to please him
* Oh let me tell you tales of Castrating Katy
No blade to bow no nothing but her own sharp teeth
And as blood trickled down her face one wailed and the others stood in silence
That bastard fell and Katy found her feet
As I was taken back to me own quarters, and I couldn’t see
her no more
But I heard blood chilling howls and someone jumped overboard
Well me captor he soon went away, to see what went awry
And with a grin I ran to look over the bow and see her with me own two eyes
* Oh let me tell you tales of Castrating Katy
The prettiest girl I think there’s ever been
She went on a ship with her poppy on business
Didn’t know her life would change from there on in
Well it’s going on damn near five years since that day at
sea
But last night I met with a buxom young lass, familiar did she seem
She said her name was Katy, she remembered me from that night on the boat
And with a wink and a smile she pointed to the man at the bar, six down and two
to go
Now there are some pirate lot, hell bent on fame and glory
But there are those with vengeful thoughts, tis why I tell this store
“So what you’re saying in this story, mate, is that she bit
off someone’s…..”
* Oh let me tell you tales of Castrating Katy
The most ruthless girl to sail the seven seas
A heart of gold but you better not cross her
Or Katy will turn from good to down right mean
* Oh let me tell you tales of Castrating Katy
The prettiest girl I think there’s ever been
She went on a ship with her poppy on business
Didn’t know her life would change from there on in
Come Along
Chorus:
Come along (come along) ye sailor lads for tonight we eat well
Drink it down (drink it down) for there’s lot of grog, it does the trick but it
burns like hell
Step it up (step it up) or we’ll be late, and the Captain will be sore
Come along (come along) ye say lye are’s for tonight we’re bound for shore
Heave and ho, a whaa a way eh oh
1. We’ve sailed the main and with it came 40 days at sea
Hard tack, jerky and pickled eggs, nothing more to eat
There once was a time I remember it well, when I was seventeen
What was I thinking when I said “A pirates life for me”
(This sucks!)
(Chorus Repeat:)
2. With midday comes a blistering sun which lowers our
moral
And the evenings are freezing, oh I want to go home right now
From the nest I see land, hey Captain, “Land Ho!”
And the Captain screams a bellowing, “Hard to port mates!”
(Lets go!)
(Chorus Repeat:)
3. For twenty six years I’ve been here, a sailor tried and
true
I’ve seen everything that a man can see, now I’m showing it all to you\
A third generation pirates son, me pappy taught me all I need to know
And once you get in there’s no getting out – you go wherever the wind dost blow
(Heave Ho!)
(Chorus Repeat x2:)
Two Shots
And we’ll have two shots of whiskey and a half pint of
rum
A whole yard of beer then just to have some fun
Some of me pappy’s corn liquor and start where we begun
With two shots of whiskey and a half pint of rum
Hey’yaa
You wake up in the morn-i-in head off to the job you hate
The evenings but eight hours away and you can hardly wait
For the barmaid is pretty, her smile it fills the main
Give me two shots of courage and I’ll ask her for her name
(Chorus)
Hey’yaa
I once had a love, five foot two bonny lass
Aint nothing like blue eyed girl to wash away the past
I wore me heart out on me sleeve and swore to always be true
It went great for a about six months but after that we were through
(Chorus)
Hey’yaa
I’ve sailed the ocean far and wide, the strangest thing
I’ve seen
Was six naked mermaids lying on the beach
They motioned for me to come over and granted me a wish
They left me with me trousers down and smelling like a fish
(Chorus)
Hey’yaa
When I’ve had me dieing day, as a creature on this earth
I want the world to remember me, and all the things I’ve done for what it’s
worth
Bury me near the sea side lads, so I can hear the crashing of the waves
Oh how I’ll miss, how I ended all me days
(Chorus x2)
Sail Away
When I was a lad, didn’t care for listening
to all the words my father said to me
Then he was gone, left me all alone, he sailed away
Sailed away
I grew up hard, and fast and learned to fight.
I would survive each day by my own might
And when I’d seen, all I wanted to see, I’d sail away
Sail away
Oh sail away, to life’s next turn.
Sail away and thank god for the scars I’ve earned
And celebrate, each passing day
As we sail away
I once had a wife, great smile and full of charm.
Gave her my heart and soul and she died in my arms
But I won’t cry, just pack up and leave, and sail away
Sail away
Cause life’s like a ride, aboard a galleon ship
It’s not what you have no no but what you do with it
When you see the storm, don’t sail into it, no you sail away
Sail away
Oh sail away, to life’s next turn.
Sail away and thank god for the scars I’ve earned
And celebrate, each passing day
As we sail away
I’ve been there before, don’t tell me what you did
I’ve seen it all twice don’t try to impress me kid
God only knows, I’ve paid my due’s, and sailed away
Sail away
Don’t look at my wounds, for you’ll not see
Most of my scars they run just way to deep
And when I die, toss me into the blue, and sail away
Sail away
Oh sail away, to life’s next turn.
Sail away and thank god for the things you’ve learned
And celebrate, each passing day
As we sail away
Oh sail away, to life’s next turn.
Sail away and thank god for the scars I’ve earned
And celebrate, each passing day
As we sail away
Captain Curse
I’ve been
around the world on a ship that’s made of wood
I seen my share of battles, and men both bad and good
Murderers, thieves, ravenous rogues and men who were far worse
By far the most offensive was the man named Captain Curse
With a monkey at his
shoulder by the name of Scurvy Pete
The captain had one wooden leg but somehow had two feet
He wore a patch over an eye lost to a musket ball
With his hat and coat and slimy looks he stood just four feet tall
His teeth were yellowed
from scurvy, and some were falling out
His skin was thick and leathered; he had a case of gout
He wore a brace of pistols, and so did Scurvy Pete
Captain curse was the most fearsome fellow you’d ever chance to meet!
He once met a whore by the
name of Lucy Blow
He paid her in corn liquor, and she put on a show
It started with a dance and you think you know the rest
But it ended rather quick, with Scurvy Pete inside her dress!
In battle on the fifth of
may, ole curse was quite a sight
He bellowed orders to the crew to get into the fight
When the gunner said he was out of shot, you know what ole Curse said?
“Load the guns with rats, me lads, and paint their vessel red!”
Pirate Hell
When Anne Bonny was a school girl, we never liked that lass
We’d poke and prod and tease her and she swore she’d get us back
I’d make fun of her mother, and set fire to her pigtails
Now she’s Captain of the ship and I’m in Pirate hell
HEY
Chorus:
Pirate hell aint pretty no pirate hell aint fun
Give me pirate purgatory and I’ll sail into the sun
A pirates life for me I said, but I thought I’d be rich by now
I’m stuck here washing dishes, yea I’m in pirate hell
(doe, doe, da doe doe…..)
Some pirates are buried in riches, some pirates wine and
dine
Some pirates have a few lady friends to bed them all the time
Some pirates only have one leg (yea but what stories they could tell)
(I’ve never even seen a fight) oh I’m in pirate hell
HEY
(Chorus)
(doe, doe, da doe doe…..)
I’ve swam through shark infested waters, I’ve met a whale
eye to eye
I’ve seen many sea creatures but still I’ve survived
When the captain wonders if it’s safe for a swim (oh no)
The crew they grab me and they throw me overboard again
HEY
(Chorus)
(doe, doe, da doe doe…..)
Well the boatswain’s good at what he does and the Captain’s
tough as nail
The cook he cooks a decent and the crew they man the sails
The gunner he’s a damn fine shot, as far as I can tell
(me I’m pretty good with a mop), (You’re in pirate hell)
HEY
(Chorus)
I’m stuck here scrubbing up the deck (Yea I’m in pirate
hell)
I’m stuck here counting fish bones (Yea I’m in pirate hell)
I’m stuck here
cleaning the Captain’s head (smell bad) Yea I’m in pirate hell
Heave Haul Away
Well I've been on this ship since I don't know
when
(And when we get to shore, we'll sail away again)
Hard and sunned, boy, weathered is my skin
(Heave up the sails boys, we'll sail away again)
Well me two land legs they don't work so well
(Heave haul away, we'll haul away again)
If I were on land I would be in jail
(Heave haul away, we'll haul away again)
We loot and we plunder we're made to fight
(Heave haul away, we'll haul away again)
With a crew that's young and a rig that's tight
(Heave haul away, we'll haul away again)
Heave haul away, abiding by the Captain's
orders
Heave haul away, we'll sail into uncharted waters
Heave haul away (haul away), Haul away (haul away)
Haul away, haul away, haul away, haul away
And it's fifteen men on a dead mans chest
(YO HO HO and a bottle of rum)
Drink and the devil had done for the rest
(YO HO HO and a bottle of rum)
Who knows on land what kind of trouble I'm in
(Heave haul away, we'll haul away again)
We attacked their navy and we stove them in
(Heave haul away, we'll haul away again)
You got your heading now boy, (Steady as she goes!)
(Heave haul away, we'll haul away again)
What awaits could be death now nobody knows
(Heave haul away, we'll haul away again)
Heave haul away, abiding by the Captain's
orders
Heave haul away, we'll sail into uncharted waters
Heave haul away (haul away), Haul away (haul away)
Haul away, haul away, haul away, haul away
And I'll be on this ship till the day I die
(And when we get to shore, we'll sail away again)
With a belly full of rum and blood shot eyes
(Heave up the sails boys, we'll sail away again)
The Toasting
Song
I’ts time for a drink lads (hooray!)
Here’s a toast (to freedom) here’s a toast to the sea
Here’s a toast to the one (who fired his shot and missed me)
Here’s a toast to treasure for without it where would we be
Here’s a toast me bully, bully boys to you and me
Ohhhhh a toast! A toast!
(toasting)
Here’s a toast (to plunder), here’s a toast to piracy
Here’s a toast to the jailer (I snuck out he didn’t see me)
Here’s a toast to the Captain for without him where would we be
Here’s a toast me bully, bully boys to you and me
Ohhhhh a toast! A toast!
(toasting)
Here’s a toast (to rum), no more sobriety
And to the man who invented beer, (Charlie Mopps the Rogers told me)
Ohhhhhh a toast! A toast
(toasting)
Here’s a toast to survival, I’m still alive after all these
years
Here’s a toast to rum…..
- Wait a minute, we already toasted rum
- Yea, but it deserves two
…….Here’s a toast to beer
and here’s a toast to the one, who said it couldn’t be done
Here’s a toast me hearties (HEY) to you and me
Ohhhhh a toast! A toast!
(toasting)
Here’s a toast (to freedom), here’s a toast to the sea
Here’s a toast to me bonny lass, (who said yes then she kissed me)
Here’s a toast to good friends for without them where would we be
Here’s a a toast me bully, bully boys to (you and me)
Here’s a toast (to freedom) here’s a toast to the sea
Here’s a toast to the one (who fired his shot and missed me)
Here’s a toast to treasure for without it where would we be
And a toast me hearties (HEY) to you and me
Oh a toast me bully, bully boys to you and me
