days of yore

|
Ah the Days of Yore. This section is dedicated
to our history, some of it well documented. Other parts however tend to be
sketchy at best. But we keep at it, poking and prodding, till we uncover
something, and that something leads us yet a step closer to the truth. Tis what
makes us who we are, our want and desire to seek out what we do not know, to
uncover the truth if it is there to be found. Indeed, it has been written, "The
truth--a thing slightly different for everyone--must be the rock that the castle
of knowledge and achievement is built upon."
I intend to simply tap the surface in these
readings, but shall follow up with how you can get more information on each
subject at hand. Be that on the internet, books, movies, etc. This by no means a
complete source of information, but if I've done my job right I've at least
sparked a bit of interest.
The
Truth About The Renaissance
Kings and Queens, Knights on their glorious steeds
laying siege to nearby castles in attempts to expand their kingdom. Ah tis
true some of this did happen but the real truth behind the renaissance is
the way the period changed history with a rebirth of ideas, art, and
architecture.. |
Women
Of Fantasy In days of
old when knights were bold and magic filled the air, scantily dressed
women wielded hand and a half long swords and fought for what was right
and just..... or so the artist that painted them wish us to believe.
Still, there's just something about a female warrior in a black leather
bodice that can't be ignored.

King
Arthur and Merlin- Legend or Lore
So, do you think Arthur, once the great king of Camelot,
puller of the sword from the stone, seeker of the holy grail, would be
turning over in his grave if he knew how we have portrayed his legend over
the years? But wait, to say this implies that King Arthur once existed,
and ever Merlin too.
Hmm, you be the judge...... |
